Step 1 - STEM

Step 2 - SEPALS
Next count the number of sepals on the flower.
Record this number on your A3 paper.
Then, use tweezers to remove the outer green petal-like structures called sepals.
Place the sepals on the A3 paper and label.
The sepals protect the flower bud.

Step 3 - PETALS
Count the petals. Gently pull off the petals. The petals all join together at the base of the flower.

Gently pull off the tiny, thin needle fine stamens.
The stamens produce the pollen.
Gently shake some of the pollen grains from the tip of the stamens onto the paper.

Now use your scissors to gently cut through the main of your flower.

Step 6 - Arrange your flower
Carefully arrange all of your flower pieces on your A3 paper. Make sure that you have the following labels.
